Terms of Sale

These terms cover purchases from NW Stencil through nwstencil.com. Placing an order means you accept them. "We" and "us" mean NW Stencil; "you" means the person or business placing the order.

We sell to businesses and to individuals. If you are ordering on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to do so.

Prices are in US dollars and exclude shipping and any applicable tax, which are shown at checkout before you pay.

Adding something to a cart does not reserve it. A contract is formed when we accept your order, and we may decline an order — for example, if an item is priced wrong, is out of stock, or the order cannot be fulfilled as described. If we decline after taking payment, we refund it in full.

Some products are quote-only rather than buyable online. Those are priced individually because size, quantity and lead time vary; a quote is not binding until we confirm it in writing.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details. Your order is confirmed once Stripe confirms the payment.

When you create a design in our online designer or send us artwork, you confirm you have the right to use it, and you allow us to reproduce it for the purpose of making your stencil. We are not responsible for checking whether artwork you supply infringes someone else's trademark or copyright.

Custom work is cut to the specification shown at the point of purchase — sheet size, letter height and layout. Check it before you pay; see Returns & Refunds for what can and cannot be returned.

We warrant that stencils are free from manufacturing defects and match the specification you ordered. If one is not, we will replace or refund it.

We do not warrant that any marking you make with our stencils will comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the MUTCD, fire code, or any state or local requirement. Our stencils carry no DOT certification. Whether a finished marking is compliant depends on dimensions, colour, placement, surface preparation and the rules of your jurisdiction — all of which are outside our control and are your responsibility to confirm with your local authority before you paint.

This matters most on accessible parking and fire lane markings, where the requirements vary by jurisdiction and change over time. If in doubt, check with the authority that will inspect the work.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including lost profit, the cost of repainting, downtime, or fines or remediation arising from a marking that does not meet a requirement in your jurisdiction.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of that state.

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published when you placed your order — the date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.
